Emmanuel Adebayor got a new lease of life at Tottenham under the management of Tim Sherwood. After being frozen out in the first half of last season, Adebayor was a major reason in helping Tottenham finish close to Manchester United in the table. His form was substantially better than Roberto Soldado, who has struggled since arriving from Valencia in the £ 26 million deal. Tottenham have not signed any major strikers in the summer transfer window so far. Hence, Adebayor is set to become the club’s number one striker under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
